The largest and the most barren desert on Earth is the one never seen by most people. More humans were in space than there. This desert is the abyssal plain, the ocean bed, dead and dark. No sunlight ever reaches it, and but a few species dwell there, transparent and deformed by the extreme pressure, temperatures, and lack of oxygen. Maybe that’s how a real Hell should look like – dark, cold, empty, and silent – a place where even your own existence is doubtful, and should you ever encounter another living being – it would be a stuff of nightmares.
